The gap we discovered

The two entrepreneurs who decided to fix this
There's nothing we can tell you about ourselves that will make you want your dream album any more than you already do. Maybe you'll get a laugh at how we all ended up here though. We do.
Meet the founders

Mark Pacura
Co-founder & CEO
The Polish guy who ended up in Valencia, Spain after years of living in Scotland (nobody understands that accent)

Cole Roberts
Co-founder & Creative Director
The Canadian guy who ended up in Gävle, Sweden after circling around hockey rinks for many years
The Journey
Both started photographing weddings worlds apart around 2010. Fast-forward to 2015 and Cole started a conference for wedding photographers in Stockholm (Way Up North), where Mark sponsored it with his album company (Wooden Banana). Small beginnings - so small that Mark was assembling boxes with his wife the night before. By 2018, they were hosting Roadie Workshops together.
Picture two guys in their 40s leading groups of photographers up mountainsides at 4AM in snowstorms - those were the kind of workshops they were hosting. But it was during these adventures - from Icelandic glaciers to Madeiran cliffs - that the constant brainstorming happened. Somewhere between teaching photography and dodging weather, Happy Albums took shape through endless conversations about making professional albums accessible to everyone.

Happy Albums
Professional quality for normal people
So Happy Albums was born - because their kids shouldn't have only JPEG files of those mountain adventures. Or any of their adventures through life. They deserve something they can actually hold - something built for forever, just like the memories inside. Every family does.
